I’m heading off to my next adventure tomorrow and don’t know what happened to my last post but I’ll look around, maybe it’s at the bottom of my backpack??
I was stressing yesterday about my lack of planning for this trip, having spent the three weeks before I left with a delightful new person in my life ❤️, but it seems as if the universe is lining things up for me in many ways. I found an amazing turtle conservancy called the Corcovado Foundation, and I’m going there tomorrow to volunteer with the turtle team! I’m so excited! Here’s their website, it’s pretty dreamy sounding if you ask me! Corcovadofoundation.org
I realize that I will probably always feel somewhat uncomfortable about traveling alone, and that I would way rather be volunteering or finding a group of people to enjoy the world with. I love my moments of solitude with nature. But when I’m traveling I want people with me. That being said, I’ve befriended a lot of beautiful Ticos here in Puerto Jimenez, and I even heard Miguel the waiter say to Eric the bartender, “Un mojito. Para Sofia.” That felt pretty sweet for two reasons 😜…. The main one being the family feeling, the other being the fact that I was about to get a mojito. Rrrrrico!!!!
Okay I have to get a taxi back to la finca now! Mi familia me espera.
Mañana!
